P&N Bank is pleased to announce four new community partnerships, in the areas of mental health and youth, which form our We Champion program.
We know that these areas are close to our members' hearts, and have decided to partner with organisations who are making a real difference in these fields.
Our We Champion program will run parallel to our Helping &nds program and other key corporate sponsorships.
Our current community partners under the We Champion program are:
Lifeline WA delivers services that aim to prevent suicide and support people in crisis. This includes 24-hour telephone crisis support, an online crisis support chat service, and education programs in the community and workplaces.
Lifeline believes that almost all suicides are preventable and that by connecting vulnerable people with crisis support, these people can be kept safe.
To help connect vulnerable West Australians to the support they need, P&N will be providing funding to assist in the training of telephone crisis volunteers.
Alongside is a not for profit organisation providing education, support, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder services and strong community for partners and families of Defence and Emergency Services personnel.
P & N bank proudly supports Alongside as they develop and implement education programs for partners and families of frontline personnel at recruitment and point of need throughout career.
With a specific focus on remote and rural reach, P & N's support ensures Alongside services are available not only in metro areas but right across WA.
The Fathering Project is a University of Western Australia-based not-for-profit charity led by a team of professionals that aims to help fathers realise how important they are in a child’s life, and to give them advice on how to connect with and encourage their children.
Their mission is to provide every child in Australia with an effective father or father figure, inspiring them to become better – for the benefit of the kids of today and tomorrow.
To help create opportunities for fathers to connect with their children, P&N will be helping to fund activities for the 'Dads and Kids' programs.
Variety WA helps children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs.
They provide practical equipment, programs and experiences to help these kids overcome any obstacles they face.
P&N will be helping Variety to connect WA parents with international specialists in Complex Communication Needs. Their strategies can help children with Severe Multiple Disabilities and children who are on the Autism Spectrum.
