Helping &nds Groups Donations Announced Q3

14 Nov2016

P&N Bank members have given 'Helping &nds' to 10 local groups after the third round of our new quarterly contribution program, Helping &nds.

With so many great local causes, our members not only nominated the groups but also voted for those that were closest to their hearts.

The votes have now been counted, and we're happy to announce the top five groups received $1,000 each, and the remainder $200 each.

  1. Kimberley Toad Busters - monitoring cane toad movement across the north of Australia and reducing toad population numbers
  2. Black Dog on a Lead - encouraging people to talk openly about depression
  3. Perth Homeless Support Group - making a difference to a homeless person’s day by buying them a meal, or giving them food and water vouchers
  4. Coastal District Care - assisting members of the Rockingham community with food parcels, clothing and blankets
  5. Compassionate Friends of WA - supporting bereaved families after the loss of a child
  6. Foodbank WA - each month, more than 53,000 Western Australians receive food that has originated from Foodbank WA
  7. Lions Cancer Institute - state-wide free Skin Screening program carried out by volunteers
  8. Bright Blue Commissioners Fund - making a positive difference to the lives of sick kids
  9. Sailability - taking disabled people out on the water in dinghies, yachts or power boats
  10. Joondalup Men's Shed - providing a place where men can meet, discuss their problems and be advised on their physical and mental health by experts

Did you know we also help individuals?

Our Helping &nds program isn't just for groups - P&N members can also nominate individuals or families in need. The recipients don't have to be members of P&N, they just need to have a genuine need for a Helping &nd.

With the help of our members' nominations, we have identified and helped many struggling individuals and families since the program's launch in November 2015.
