P&N Bank Joondalup staff and members are delighted with the end result of the Bank's investment and focus on member experience, with the re-opening of the new Joondalup Discovery Store at Lakeside Joondalup.
Set to benefit more than 4,700 Joondalup locals, the progressive and welcoming new design looks nothing like a traditional bank branch and aims to foster relaxed, quality conversations between members and staff.
P&N listened to feedback from both members and staff when creating the new design, which is not only functional but is a place where people want to spend time.
Members have described the new look as more like a contemporary living room or modern café, with a warm ambience created by zoned lighting, textiles, music, soft furnishings and a modern colour palette that you would see in the latest home magazines.
Joondalup Discovery Store Manager Jessica Nguyen said that the Bank partnered with leading WA designers and suppliers to create a space where members would feel comfortable, whether dropping in for a quick transaction, a conversation or a more private meeting.
"Joondalup is one of our most popular branches with a very strong customer base so rather than relocating to where other banks are at the Centre, we're staying put in the location that is most convenient for members, while introducing our brand new look.
"With over 94,000 members, we're committed to offering a range of banking channels to suit different needs, so you'll see P&N continue to invest in contemporary stores located where our customers need them most," she said.
"Our members absolutely love the look and feel of our new store and we've even had a lot of people visit who don’t yet bank with us. Our team are very proud to work at this beautiful space and we would love more people to visit us to check it out."
Local P&N Bank member of over fifteen years, Anthea Veaney was invited to help officially re-open the store and said she loved the new look and the different spaces to have conversations with staff.
"In a time when everything now seems to be done on the computer, it is great to still be able to come into a branch with such a welcoming atmosphere to have real conversations with staff who always offer great service and take the time to really help," she said.
The Joondalup refurbishment is part of a wider P&N Bank branch upgrade project, with new look Maddington and Innaloo Discovery Stores also set to re-open in August and September respectively. While a brand new store will open at Stockland Bull Creek Shopping Centre on 23 July.
Long term P&N Bank member Anthea Veaney celebrates the opening of the new look Joondalup Discovery with P&N Joondalup staff.
