How to help Australian bushfire victims

07 Jan2020

All Australians and millions more around the world have been shocked, saddened and concerned at the devastating bushfires across our country. On behalf of our members, our Board and staff, P&N Bank extends its thoughts and heartfelt sympathies to all those impacted and acknowledge the remarkable work of the emergency services and volunteers who are committed to protecting and assisting the tens of thousands of people affected.

It has been inspiring to see so many local firefighters, other volunteers and wider communities uniting together to respond to the disaster and support one another – a genuine and powerful example of the power of the collective in this difficult and challenging time for so many Australians.

In support of the bushfire crisis response and recovery, P&N Bank has partnered with the Perth Wildcats to match their donation to the Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund. The Perth Wildcats pledged to donate $50 for every point the team scored in their game against Brisbane on Sunday and P&N will match this donation total of $4,250. This is in addition to the $10,000 worth of food donated to local fire affected communities in northern NSW by our colleagues at bcu in November.

To P&N members wanting to donate to those impacted, we have put together the below list of organisations working directly at the frontline of this disaster. To ensure funds get to where they are most needed in a timely manner, P&N won’t be taking donations on behalf of members and we encourage contributing directly to one of these organisations.

Help those affected

Help state fire services

Help animal rescue organisations
