Changes to branch operations

Based on new indoor gathering limits, and social distancing requirements introduced by the State and Federal Governments we are making changes to the way that we conduct business in our branches. From Wednesday, 25 March the following measures will be implemented across all P&N branches:

  • Only five visitors will be allowed in our branches at any given time;
  • Once a branch reaches capacity the branch doors will be closed, and staff will allow members to enter once it is safe to do so; and
  • We require that you stay 1.5 metres away from everyone in the branch.

We appreciate members' understanding and patience during this time. Providing a safe branch environment is critical and we ask that members and visitors DO NOT attend any of our premises should they fall into any of the following categories: 

  • Returning international and domestic travellers who need to comply with the Federal and State Government’s 14-day self-isolation mandate;
  • Have symptoms associated with COVID-19; or
  • May have been in contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19.

We also urge our members to visit the Federal Government’s Health website or the WA State Government’s Health website for the latest information about the COVID-19 virus and its impacts in our areas.

In-branch cleaning

We have increased the cleaning regime of our branches effective this week and our teams will be ensuring to keep the branch environment safe for themselves and our members.

Our Staff

For the benefit of our workplace and branch environments, we have employed the following measures for staff in recent weeks:

  • Automatic 14-day self-isolation from the workplace of any staff member returning from international travel as mandated by the Federal Government.
  • All work-related air travel is now restricted as is attendance at conferences and large events.
  • A restriction on the number of staff who can attend meetings in person.
  • Self-declaration of planned international personal travel.
  • Mandatory isolation of any staff member presenting with COVID-19 related symptoms or for those who have been in contact with a person who has been positively diagnosed.
  • All staff have been reminded of appropriate hygiene measures to minimise the spread of this or any other illnesses.
