Homes light up with the joy of Christmas while raising funds for a specialised new ambulance for WA newborns requiring intensive care.
As kids stare in wonder at the Christmas light displays across Perth, a raft of festive homes have banded together to raise funds for the Perth Children’s Hospital’s new ambulance.
This festive season, houses across Perth will light up with Christmas icons from nativity displays to Santa’s sleigh to raise funds for the Perth Children’s Hospital’s new wheels.
The Hospital is in dire need of a new ambulance for neonatal emergency transport, which is forecast to cost $180,000. The Newborn Emergency Transport Service of WA (NETS WA) transfers around 900 premature or unwell newborn babies to the Perth Children’s Hospital for intensive care and requires neonatal intensive care equipment and a specialist team of doctors and nurses.
The homes raising funds are spread from Alkimos to Yangebup and feature festive fun including the extraordinary light displays, visits from favourites such as Spiderman, Frozen’s Elsa and Anna and the big man himself Santa, silent night dance parties, ice cream and coffee vans.
Keep your eyes on the Facebook page, which provides daily updates on where the ever-popular life-sized bear Stitches will be and any extra special events. As children come together and enjoy the spirit of Christmas, the donations raised will make the next Christmas undoubtedly more comfortable for the less fortunate little ones. #thepowerofand
