P&N Bank has farewelled Executive General Manager Angela Newland who has left our organisation after some three years to take on new challenges. Angela is well known to our customers having played a key role in shaping the Bank’s strategic direction, enhancing the customer experience, and strengthening our commitment to community-focused banking.

P&N Managing Director and CEO, Andrew Hadley has announced that Mark Smyth will be the new Executive leader for P&N Bank.

We’re pleased to inform our customers that Mark Smyth has commenced in the newly created role of Chief Retail Banking Officer, effective 19 May. Mark has been an Executive with our organisation for over three years and will now lead the Retail Banking and Broker operations across both P&N Bank in Western Australia and BCU Bank in Queensland and New South Wales.

“I’m excited to welcome Mark into this new leadership role,” Andrew said.

“His experience across customer-owned banking, broker networks, and digital strategy will help us to build on our strong foundations and further enhance outcomes for customers and brokers alike.”

Mark joined the Group in 2022 as General Manager of BCU Bank and most recently served as Executive General Manager, Customer Experience.

With a career spanning more than 20 years, Mark has held senior leadership roles in customer strategy, lending, operational risk and broker services across a range of customer-owned banks.

He is a passionate advocate for the customer-owned model and shares our commitment to delivering personalised, community-based banking.
