A helping hand for at-risk youth needing employment

A West Perth charity that supports more than 500 at-risk local youth through its innovative programs has been given a funding boost from P&N Bank.

Dismantle runs ReNew Property Maintenance, a social enterprise which matches corporate demand for quality maintenance services with people who need the employment opportunity the most.

Business Development Manager Darren Thomas said the P&N Bank Helping &nds grant was a timely gift that will support its focus on providing optimal outcomes for young people in the community.

“The funds will be used to purchase much-needed sets of personal protective equipment for young crew members in our ReNew program,” he said.

“In all of our work, safety is our number one priority, so this $2,000 grant will enable us to fully equip a number of our young ReNew crew members and keep them safe.”

ReNew has proven social outcomes as a vehicle for entry level job creation, with a high proportion of recruits going on to further employment, education or training pathways after exiting the program.

P&N Bank Area Manager Renee Lang said the organisation was delighted to be able to support those people in our community who need it the most.

“The Helping &nds program is designed to provide financial assistance to valuable organisations like Dismantle who we know are making a real difference,” Renee said.

“This is why P&N Bank exists - to enrich the lives of our customers and the local communities in which they live.”
