What do I need to apply for a home loan?

Photo identification

Your Australian driver licence and passport will do the trick!

Proof of income

Make sure you have your recent payslips or tax return ready to go.

Tell us about your assets

Do you already own a house or a car? Let us know.

Any existing debts?

We’ll need to know if you have debts with any other financial institutions.

Identification

How much identification we need to see before you can apply for a home loan will depend on whether you're an existing or new customer of P&N Bank.

For new customers:

To open a membership in one of our branches, we'll need to see your Australian driver licence or proof of age card and your valid passport.

Alternatively, you can use only one form of photo ID, along with one form of primary ID without your photo (e.g. your birth certificate or citizenship papers) and one form of secondary ID (e.g. your Medicare card).

Original and certified copies of documents are accepted.

If you're unable to visit one of our branches, you may be able to verify your identity at a post office. Please contact us for more information.

For existing customers:

If you've been banking with P&N Bank for over three months, we'll only need to see one of the following:

  • Your Australian driver's licence
  • Your Australian passport

If you're already a P&N Bank customer but have only recently joined us, you'll be subject to provide further identification to progress with your home loan application.
