P&N Bank Empowerment Grants
Supporting our diverse WA community
P&N Bank has a long history of supporting local charities and Western Australians in need. One of the ways we do this is via our P&N Bank Empowerment Grants. This program provides funding to empower and assist Western Australians.
The P&N Bank Empowerment Grants program is made up of two streams:
- Empowering People – assisting and empowering Western Australians who are in financial crisis or have basic needs that are not being met.
- Empowering Communities – assisting and empowering Western Australian not-for-profits striving for equity and those working in disability and accessibility; mental health; poverty and homelessness; and domestic violence.
P&N Bank customers can nominate people in need OR eligible not-for-profit organisations for consideration for funding support via P&N Bank Empowerment Grants.

As a P&N Bank customer, you too have the power to make a direct difference to those in need.
Empowering People

This program helps empower individuals, couples and families who are in financial crisis or have basic needs that are not being met.
Nominees may be facing challenges, such as:
- domestic and family violence
- unexpected medical expenses after an illness diagnosis or accident
- poverty and homelessness
- facing financial disadvantage due to physical or mental health issues
P&N Bank customers can nominate someone for financial assistance at any time of the year. The person you nominate to receive the support does not need to bank with us.
Empowering Communities
This program provides funding to empower inclusive Western Australian charities and not-for-profits that strive for equity and give Western Australians facing major social issues helping hand. With a focus on:
- diversity, equity and inclusion (e.g. gender equity, cultural equity, reconciliation, LGBTQIA+ support)
- disability and accessibility
- mental health
- poverty and homelessness
- domestic and family violence
Through our bi-annual funding rounds we assist WA not-for-profits doing great work empowering West Australians. Over the year, $60,000 in funding is available. P&N Bank customers are able to vote for shortlisted not-for-profits. Tallied votes will determine the funding the organisations will receive.
What you need to know
- Anyone who has been a P&N Bank customer for a minimum of six months can nominate in both categories.
- The person or not-for-profit organisation you nominate does not have to be a customer of P&N Bank.
- Applications for Empowering People will be assessed by P&N Bank within three weeks.
- Applications for Empowering Communities (not-for-profits) will be assessed by P&N Bank for consideration for the program’s bi-annual funding rounds, with short-listed organisations available for customers to vote on via the P&N Bank website.
