Empowering Communities

The Empowering Communities program provides funding to eligible Western Australian charities and not-for-profit organisations creating stronger, more inclusive communities.

As a P&N Bank customer, you can nominate eligible organisations for consideration, helping support the important work they do across Western Australia.

Our funding supports organisations making a difference in areas including:

  • Diversity, equity and inclusion (including gender equity, cultural equity, reconciliation, and LGBTQIA+ support)
  • Disability and accessibility
  • Mental health
  • Poverty and homelessness
  • Domestic and family violence

Nominate a not-for-profit

Know a Western Australian charity or not-for-profit making a positive difference in your community? We'd love to hear about them.

Nominations

P&N Bank customers can nominate eligible not-for-profit organisations year-round. Please read the terms and conditions before submitting your nomination.

Annual funding

A total of $60,000 is allocated to the Empowering Communities program each year.

Funding rounds

Funding is awarded twice each year:

  • Round one, June: $30,000
  • Round two, December: $30,000

How it works

Eligible nominations are reviewed and shortlisted by P&N Bank before being presented to customers for voting.

The amount each not-for-profit is awarded is based on the number of votes received:

Frequently asked questions

Anyone who has been a P&N Bank customer for a minimum of six months can nominate a charity or not-for-profit for an Empowering Communities Grant.

The not-for-profit organisation you nominate does not have to be a customer of P&N Bank.

Applications for Empowering Communities (not-for-profits) will be assessed by P&N Bank for consideration for the program’s bi-annual funding rounds, with short-listed organisations available for customers to vote on via the P&N Bank website.
