How to open a Concession Account

We're happy to help you open your Concession Account at your nearest branch or if you're an existing customer, you can call us

Just bring your ID documents and eligible concession card with you – we’ll take care of the rest.

Eligible cards include:

  • Commonwealth Seniors Health Card
  • Pensioner Concession Card
  • Health Care Card
  • Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA)

You can also open a joint account, as long as both applicants hold an eligible concession card.

To open an account, you’ll need to:

  • be at least 18 years old
  • hold an eligible Commonwealth Government concession card, such as:
      • Commonwealth Seniors Health Card
      • Pensioner Concession Card
      • Health Care Card
      • Department of Veteran's affairs Card (DVA)
  • live in Australia with a current residential address
  • be applying as an individual (not a business or association)

If you don’t already bank with us, you’ll need your Australian driver’s licence or a valid passport.

If you’re not an Australian resident or don’t have photo ID, we also accept alternative forms of identification.

Bank@Post™ deposits and withdrawals are available only with a P&N VISA Card. Cheques must be made out in the name of the cardholder to be accepted at Bank@Post™ and require a minimum of 7 business days for clearance.
