With new branch openings, an Australian first for P&N members needing to replace a lost or stolen card, and our community programs continuing to help those who need a helping hand, P&N is remains focussed on making the lives of our members easier and our communities stronger.
And while commentary in the media continues about the mistrust of the major banks evidenced by the Hayne Royal Commission, P&N's member-owned model is proving a genuine alternative because of our transparent and member centric approach to banking, innovation and customer service.
To deliver both the best possible member experience and a robust and sustainable organisation long into the future, P&N Bank needs an experienced Board and a contemporary Constitution.
At this year's AGM on 7 November, your Board is proposing several pivotal amendments to our Constitution that will keep our business thriving.
With the increasing regulatory standards that Australian banks such as P&N are held to, our organisation is quite rightly bound by a rigorous compliance regime albeit, disproportionate to our size when compared to the larger banks.
In order to govern the complexities of banking regulations in the current highly competitive and uncertain economic landscape, coupled with the challenges and opportunities that come with the rapid changes in banking, it is important to emphasise the need to attract and retain the right depth of Director talent.
As a P&N member, you have the power to influence the governance and future direction of your bank and I encourage you to participate by voting on the Resolutions as part of this year's AGM.
Full details of these proposed changes will be provided in the annual AGM pack that will be either emailed or posted to you in October. This year we are making voting easier for our members with the opportunity to vote online. Paper packs will be available for those who prefer to post back their voting slips.
Please read the pack carefully and make your voice heard by voting either online or returning any voting slips by the due dates.
